A lot of 3 marked varieties of the Pine Tree Shilling, of average breadth and full weight, in really good condition, by which is meant not absolutely free from marks of cir- culation, but not in the least defaced by it, a desirable lot ; 3 pieces.

A lot composed of Shillings, Pine and Oak Tree, all dif- ferent, no poor ones, (selected from a large number not otfered ;) 4 pieces.

A Good Samaritan Shilling, a fine specimen from Wyatt’s

dies, now very rare.

It is well known that the dies from wdiich these pieces were struck no longer exist.

A beautiful coin in fine gold; obv. a Good Samaritan scene; rev. MASATHVSJETS^ an oak tree ; edge milled.

Mr. Bishop informs us that this coin was made by using two obverse dies, the same from which two varie- ties of Wyatt’s shillings were struck, and that no other similar coin was ever struck in any metal. He knows that it is and ever must be entirely unique, as the dies are destroyed.

scarcely less rare ; on the obv., as on the coins of this State generally, is a military bust with the leg. aitctoei : cOiSTNEC : ; but the head is smaller^ and the countenance that of a person much older than occurs on any other variety; as perfect as when it fell from the die; even the color, fine, date 1786, extremely rare.
